Insert from the jury's report:
"... due to the clear and comprehensive resolution of the competition task with the combination of an elongated and centralized design, and especially for the most successful solution of the arrangement of classrooms with pre-classrooms out of all proposals, the jury unanimously awarded the proposal the third prize."
The school building is designed as a two-story compact volume that responds to the existing urban planning conditions and spatial requirements. It continues the facade dynamic of the building series on the northern side.
The chosen building volume allows for more green outdoor space, while the inside of the building is softened by in-between-spaces (pre-classrooms and extended corridors), which, in conjunction with transparent walls and organically formed floor slab openings, create a playful and safe transition to the primary school environment.
The northern facade with the services and the gymnasium on the upper floor closes towards the traffic connection and moves the educational process away from the noisy street. It defines the main entrance with a large canopy, complemented by a covered and closed bicycle storage. Through the main entrance, where the space is divided into a service and wardrobe area, the view take userts past the common areas to the green exterior, which connects with the greenery of the neighboring buildings.
